I was a busboy/ waiter at Pinegrove back in the 70's on weekends and during the summers under Dick and enjoyed he and his wife's hospitality especially as I was away from home at SUNY New Paltz

Debbie: I don't know if you'll remember my family and me (Bob and Sally Lohfeld, I'm Naomi). I'm sorry to learn about Dick's passing. You and he (and your beautiful Arabians) will always have a very special place in my heart.

Deborah,
I found out about Dick today and I was immediately transformed into the twelve year old boy who Dick made time for. I make time for young people today. My door is always open because at a time in my life when I could not take anymore he was there for me. He gave me good and sometimes harsh advise. I saw lack of compassion as a weakness. I went back home after a summer with Dick a better person. How do you say thank you for that
I will tell if ever saw soul mates it was you and Dick

Debbie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I worked for you and Dick at Pinegrove for a few years way back when. He was a wonderful man and will be missed. I was married to Chuck at the time. He worked at the stables and I worked at the front desk. Chuck just called to let me know. I now live in Florida, if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

extremely sorry to hear of Dick's passing.....worked with him back in 1958 at Dodge City in Patchogue, New York. We called him "Richie" back then....he was trying to break into show business and wanted to join the Screen Actors Guild (SAG)....he played the Marshall at Dodge City back then. I was one of the 3 stuntmen working there under contract to Warner Bros. I left the business in 1959 and lost contact with Dick until we both ended up in Bell, Florida, living 3 miles apart!....small world....my condolences to his wife and family...a sad ending.

Although you probably do not know me,I have very fond memomies of Dick from when I was a child. My late father, Ron Adams (his stage name)real name Roy Accarino, worked for Dick at the Pine Grove Ranch as a country music singer. Dick would let us visit and ride the horses. He was always very kind. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I am sure he touched many lives as he touched mine.
