Sandi Collaro Obituary

Middletown, NY Sandi Collaro of Middletown NY, died suddenly on Sunday, August 10 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus, Middletown, NY. She was 46. The daughter of the late Edward and Rita Kaplan Kristel she was born on January 9, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to the area in 1985 and married Joseph Collaro, August 8, 1999 in Middletown. Sandi worked for Miron Building Supply in Monticello. She was shy, but firm in her opinions. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle with her husband and friends and was an officer in ABATE-American Bikers Aimed Toward Education. Sandi is survived by her loving husband, Joe at home; and three granddaughters, Alexa, Isabelle, and Samantha, as well as many friends. Visitation hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandi's name may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 419 East Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Sandi will be missed, she was my only cousin who I did not see for over 30 years unfortunately. But was fortunate enough to meet her back in 2006 in Philadelphia the only time since 1974. May her soul fly free to eternity. Love Cousin Marc.
