Dear Hanofee Family;

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Sean was a kind and gentle soul. I will always remember how he would make everyone around him laugh. Sean was a true friend, who was loved by many.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3.5-6)

Martin & family,

I am so sorry to hear about Sean's passing. I use to call him Shorty because I only came up to his waist. My husband passed away on January 2nd and Sean was at the Funeral Home for his visitation. Sean was always good to my husband and myself. He always made us laugh.

I am sorry that I did not make it for the visitation or the funeral; but, it was just to soon after my own husband's passing. I just couldn't bear to go to the Funeral Home so soon.

Marty I will always remember when you and Sean played baseball with Darrell. Those were good times.

Rose and Mrs. Hanofee, I have never had the pleasure of meeting you, but my heart goes out to you and the children. They say time heals, but it has been almost four weeks since my husband passed away and I miss him more and more every day. I know that I find a lot of comfort in my family and Darrell's family. It also helps to know that others care.

Dear Chez, Martin, Rose and children,
Our hearts and prayers go out to you. The world is a bit less colorful without Sean in it. We are all blessed to have been friends of Sean. He so easily brightened peoples day. Mom loved him as her own. He had such a gift for making people feel important when he talked to them and for making everyones day better with a good laugh! Oh how we love telling fun stories of Sean's antics from the good old days of youth! We pray that all those memories will be with you during this most difficult time. "A chief event of life is the day in which we have encountered a mind that startled us." unknown author

When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why he left this earth so soon, or why he left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that Sean died, but that Sean LIVED. And that Sean's life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

I will never forget Sean and I will miss him dearly.

My thoughts and my prayers are with you all.

You don't know me, but your Sean was very comforting to me when my husband passed away a year ago. He never hesitated to go out of his way to say hello and share a few words with us. Sean's father was one of the first people we met when we came here 40 years ago and Clayton and I always commented on how alike they were. Gentle, caring people. May your memories bring you comfort and know that he will always be with you.
