Stacie Sacco Obituary

Stacie Marie Sacco of Sparrowbush, NY, a long time resident of the area, died in an automobile accident, Saturday, January 22, 2005 in Clinton Township, PA. She was 34.

She was born June 16, 1970 in Middletown, NY, the daughter of Gerald D. and Mary E. Corcoran Sacco, Sr.

Stacie was an Accounts Manager for Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.

She was a 1988 graduate of Port Jervis High School. In 1992 she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina in Conway, South Carolina.

She was the Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors for the Orange County Safe Homes, Newburgh, NY. Stacie was also the Assistant Coach for the Pop Warner Lions Football Team Cheerleading Squad.

Surviving are daughter, Lindsey Gibbs at home; son, Justin Gibbs at home; fiancé Dalen Espie at home; father and mother, Gerald D. Sacco Sr. and Mary Sacco of Port Jervis, NY; sister, Kerri Sacco Conklin and her husband William of Port Jervis; brothers: Gerald D. Sacco Jr. of Port Jervis and Steven P. Sacco of Port Jervis; paternal grandfather, Vitaliano D. Sacco of Port Jervis; and the family guardian, Yellow Lab "Cracker Jack Sacco" at home.

Friends may call at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis on Tuesday, January 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 26th at 1 p.m. from Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis with the Rev. Robert Foster officiating.

Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Sparrowbush, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to Orange County Safe Homes, P.O. Box 649, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Funeral arrangements are by the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12271. For additional information, directions or to send a condolence note to the family visit www.grayparkerfuneralhome.com.

I had the pleasure of knowing Stacie for the last 9 years. Her and I were friends as well as co-workers while we both lived in Columbia, South Carolina. She was a wonderful person and friend. To the entire family, we are saddened at the sudden loss of Stacie. She always shared her bright spirit with all she knew. The members of the PJPW Lions football team and its cheerleaders will truly miss her.

When my mother called me to tell me about Stacie, I broke down. I know that I haven't seen her in a long time, but all the memories I have of us when we were younger came rushing back to me. I am so sorry for all of you to lose such a warm and loving person. I wish my family and I could be there to comfort you, but even though we can't, remember that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
