William Gauquie Obituary

William J. Gauquie, a lifelong resident of the area, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 66. The son of Helen Lasser and the late William J. Gauquie, he was born July 25, 1939 in Salisbury Mills, N.Y. He was a Sales Representative for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and was a lifetime member of the Salisbury Mills Fire Company. The widower of Sandra Gauquie, he is survived by his son, William J. Gauquie and his fiancée, Melissa Loscerbo, of Salisbury Mills; one brother, John Gauquie and his wife, Marcia, of Wappingers Falls; one sister, Theresa Gauquie of New York, N.Y.; grandchildren, Arianna and Kaitlyn; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Alice Gauquie Felter. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's R.C. Church in Washingtonville, N.Y. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, N.Y. Arrangements are by the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home.
