Aaron Raulinaitis Obituary

Aaron Steven Raulinaitis

Redding, CA

Born August 7, 1975 at Enloe Hospital, Chico, CA. He died in his home on July 8, 2016.

He was 40 years old.

Aaron grew up mostly in Orland and Redding, California. He attended schools in Orland, Redding and Napa, CA. He later went to Shasta College and graduated from the Institute of Technology in Redding. He worked as an equipment operator and grounds keeper at Gold Hills Golf Course for many years, and then in retail and sales positions at various retailers in Redding.

Aaron had a mind like a "steel trap". His memory was awesome and he was a person you wanted on your team when playing games involving memorization and trivia. He loved watching ball games with his son, family and friends, especially when it involved his favorite teams – the Boston Red Sox and Oakland Raiders.

Aaron was quick witted and funny. Yet he was sensitive and loved deeply. He was a good friend and loved spending time with his family reminiscing about old times and funny stories. He is loved and will be forever missed.

Aaron is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eleno P. Marquez and his paternal grandfather Edward J. Raulinaitis.

He leaves behind his loving family, parents Jeff & Kathi Vieira (Redding, CA), Steven Raulinaitis (Sparks, NV), son Tristan Aaron Raulinaitis (Redding), Tristan's mother, Rebekah Russell (Redding), brothers Brandon Raulinaitis (Redding) and Tyson Vieira (South Korea), grandparents Lorna Marquez (Redding) and Shirley Raulinaitis (Sparks, NV), aunts & uncles Randall & Julie Marquez (Chico), Bryan & Nancy Babski (New York, NY), Mike & Sally Bible (Palo Cedro), Jerry & Susan Raulinaitis (Sacramento), many cousins, great aunts & uncles and friends he loved dearly and who loved him.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 15th at 2pm at the Redding Memorial Cemetery, 1201 Continental St., Redding.

Thank you to family, friends and all who have offered support, kind words and prayers during this sad and difficult time. Also a big Thank You to those at the Mountain of Mercy for their support, love and friendship to Aaron. A big Thank You also to his dear cousin Alyssa Bible who loved, protected and was always there for him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Aaron S. Raultinaitis to the Mountain of Mercy, P.O. Box 55, Honeydew, CA 95545.

Aaron was one of my best friends for years, i first met him when he started working at Greyhound, we all loved you Aaron, i was lucky to have him as a groomsman in my wedding and on several occasions side by side when we had to fight Reddings many unruly villians, we were always out-numbered, but thanks to Aarons courage and fists of steel- we never lost a battle... Your going to be missed my brother!! -Rob Brown

Aaron was not only my cousin, but one of my best friends. From the time I could remember I always thought he was the coolest guy I had ever seen. Riding around on his skateboard and making everyone laugh, but also being quite naughty at the same time! We shared a connection, struggles and so much more. Plus our sense of humor was the same so we could keep cracking each other up! We could relate to each other and talk and help each other. He was so protective of me and our whole family. We love our Aaron. I will miss him everyday. But I know he is still watching over us all. You will be forever in my heart cousin. Love, Lissy

Kathy and family I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Aaron's passing. I know he had been dealing with unbelievable burdens and setbacks but felt he could overcome. I wish I could have done more and been there to try to help. He was always so upbeat when I was around him and loved to reminisce. I enjoyed him from the moment I saw him and will never forget his enthusiasm, exuberance, and energy, plus his mischievous smile and twinkling eyes. I will always remember his love for his son and you. May God comfort you and give you peace.
