Barbara Hester Obituary
Redding, CA
Barbara Frances (Reade) Hester , 92 passed away Monday February 5, 2018 in her home at Hilltop Estates in Redding, where she has been living the past year and a half.
She was born October 25,1925 in Glendale, California to Arthur R. and Beatrice (Williams) Reade. She attended Pasadena City College in 1942.
She married the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Hester in June of 1943. They were married 52 years until his passing in 1996. The couple raised their children in San Diego, California then moved to Fall River Mills in 1970. They built their home on Fall River, which became a haven of hospitality to their family and friends for forty-five years.
She was active in her Church and community, ever ready to lend a helping hand, pray for a need, or bake a pie. Many of her friends and family are recipients of her beautifully crocheted afghans, or quilts.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Joe) Schley, and Richard (Judy) Hester; her grandchildren Ezra Hamill, Anna Perkins, Joel Hamill, Sarah Richards, Daniel Hester and Jordan Hester, six great-grandchildren, former son in law Steve Hamill and many other friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will forever be in their hearts.

Her memorial will be held at the Glenbum Church, 42045 McArthur Rd, Fall River Mills, 96028 on February 24, 2018, at 11:00 am.
