Brian Church Obituary

Brian William Church
Brian Church was born in Redding, CA. He graduated from Central Valley High School in 1974. Out of high school he joined the Navy until he was honorably discharged due to injury becoming a disabled veteran.

Shortly there after he began his life long passion in the gaming industry, starting out at Cal-Neva Casino then attending San Jose State specializing in electronics and fine tuning his specialty in Slot Technology and beyond.

His passion and expertise landed him on many a shore, living in Berlin when the wall came down, the Panama Canal, Beirut as well as all corners of the U.S. He worked from Connecticut to Baton Rouge to Las Vegas and even took to the worldly waters aboard the Norwegian Cruise lines.

He loved to fish, golf and travel filling up 3 passports and was halfway through the fourth.
He married his high school sweetheart, Cindee Totherow-Church. In his last year he took root in Yakima, WA to be closer to his grand-baby in Surrey, B.C. and continue his passion.

He will always be remembered as a loving compassionate man, a real people person, leaving a last impression on all he met.

He is survived by his wife, Cindee; 3 children, Cody Young, Kassie Kolins, Cole Young;
2 grand-babies, Destiny and Grace.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009
at the St. Joseph Cemetery (4075 Eureka Way) Redding, Ca.

We were so sorry to hear of your families loss Cindee. We will be praying for you and your family in this time of great sorrow and need. I knew Brian in school, and through Boy Scouts. May you and yours always keep him forever in your hearts. And always remeber the good times.

So many memories from high school, so many years ago. I am thankful that Cindee and Brian made it as a couple and enjoyed life experiences and brought children and grand children into their exciting life's. I will try to make it to the service, but if I don't please know that my heart and soul is with you at this memory point in your life. A poem for your family:

MEMORIES OF BRIAN

TOUCH A PART OF YOU

MEMORIES HELP YOU COMPREHEND

HOW SPECIAL HE WAS TOO

MEMORIES ARE MEANT TO BE SHARED

SO HIS SPIRIT WILL STAY ALIVE

PLEASE REMEMBER HOW MUCH YOU CARED

SO YOUR MEMORIES DO NOT DIE

TALKING ABOUT YOUR MEMORIES

MAY BRING YOU SOME SORROW

BUT, THESE SAME MEMORIES

WILL BRING YOU JOY, TOMORROW

SPECIAL MEMORIES ARE IN YOUR MIND

AND ALSO IN YOUR HEART

THE MEMORIES OF THESE SPECIAL TIMES

ARE ALMOST COMPARABLE TO DISPLAYS OF ART

MEMORIES BRING HIS SPIRIT TO ESSENCE

AND FILL YOUR SOUL WITH HIS PRESENCE

THEN, THERE IS A BRIGHTNESS IN YOUR EYES

THAT KEEPS HIS SPIRIT AND YOUR SOUL ALIVE

REMEMBRANCE IS THE KEY

TO KEEPING HIS SPIRIT FREE.
