Bruce Dixon Ferguson

July 19, 1910 - August 28, 2010

Redding - Bruce Ferguson was born July 19, 1910 in Stockton, CA
to Hubert and Myrtle Ruth (Dixon) Ferguson.
He passed on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the age of 100.

Bruce was preceded in death by the love of his life for 64 years, Eralia Gordon Ferguson, his stepmother Bessie Ferguson, two sisters Margie Clark and Blanche Reule, brother Hubert Ferguson and great granddaughter, Sabrina Vukasovich.

Bruce is survived by his son Richard Ferguson and wife Carol of Redding, daughter Susan Halton and husband James of Newport Beach, CA three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bruce grew up and attended school in Santa Cruz, CA. At the age of 17 he went to work for Shell Oil Company where he progressed through various jobs, retiring as a drilling foreman after 42 years of service. He played golf well into his 90's. He was an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling and fishing.

The family will hold a private memorial service.

Lawncrest Chapel, Redding, is in care of arrangement.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to
Hospice 1544 Market St., Redding, CA 96003.
