Dennis Kirkpatrick Obituary
Redding
Dennis Kirkpatrick was born March 7th, 1946, and peacefully passed away at Mercy hospital on January 5th, 2017, from heart failure.
He spent most of his young life growing up in the San Fernando Valley before moving here to Redding. He was in the army from 1965-1967 in the Charlie Co., 3rd battalion, 12th infantry of the 4th infantry.
We will always remember his generosity, sense of humor, kindness and loud conversations.....really loud... His life was corvettes, bowling, movies and his dog. There are so many memories I couldn't possibly list them all. He had so many friends that will miss him so much so when you're thinking of him, smile.. he would want that.
He is survived by his sister, Jan (Mark); nieces, Mallory
(Jeremiah) and Alissa (Dan); his friend, Janette; and his dog, Badger.
There will be a memorial for him at the VA cemetery in Igo, Calif., on March 3rd at 2:00 p.m.

I am so sorry for the family and friends loss. Dennis and I grew up together in San Fernando/Sylmar. He went to San Fernando High and I went to Sylmar High. As young boys, we played football on Sundays at the park and practiced his pole vaulting skills at Alemeny High School. He was on the track team at San Fernando High School. Later after he returned from Viet Nam, we rode in his Corvette on Van Nuys Blvd and enjoyed life. RIP Dennis....you will be missed....
