I cannot believe you are gone. Dan left us yesterday morning, I was looking for you to let you know and found you here. Made me cry. I pray heaven is real and you are happy. Take care of Dan for me?

Doug,
Your childish innocence, insight, dry humor and subtle comic relief helped to make this world a much better place. At times you may have been underestimated but never unappreciated.

Doug you were my neighbor, but most of all a good friend. Im glad i was able to be there for you in the end as it were. But most of all i was happy to find that you had lived such a full and wonderful life. Me moving in next door to you must have given you a lot to think about. Me with all my out door projects and antics. Like the time i got stuck on the roof because the ladder moved. You were a blessing in my life and i thank you. Im glad you finally made it home. Tell your mom Hi for me.
