Erik Lebak, born April 21, 1982 died Thursday August 28, 2014. Erik lived his entire life in the Redding, CA area.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, camping, motorcycle riding, and socializing with his friends. He was a great cook and loved entertaining his many close friends and family. Erik was always there to lend a helping hand, offer support, and was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Erik's life tragically ended this past Thursday. He is survived by his two loving children, Hagen Osmund Lebak age 7 and Makenna Dianne Lebak age 3; his father and mother Charles and Gaylene Lebak; his grandparents Jerry and Lois Emerson; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Osmund and Sonia Lebak.
A celebration of Erik's life will be held at the Redding Red Lion, 1830 Hilltop Drive at 2:00 PM on Friday September 5, 2014.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hagen and Makenna College Fund. Donations can be sent to: Wells Fargo Advisors, Attn: Ms. Jennifer Heidel.

My heart broke today when I was told of Erik's death, I hadn't spoke with him in quite awhile and he was on my mind approx 3 weeks ago, I was feeling the need to call him..but got busy with life, so sad I didn't:( I will never forget him. He was an amazing young man and one I was Happy to call a friend , he had a great heart and a gypsy soul.. Never to b forgotten. Much love my friend.

So many good memories of holidays spent in Redding with all the cousins together. Erik was such a fun little guy and always had a twinkle in his eye. It still seems so unreal that Erik is gone. We will all miss him. Hugs and love to Gaylene and Chuck

Erik was such a wonderful friend to me, always making me laugh and smile. Cooking with him was such an adventure, never quite sure how good things would turn out as we strayed from the recipe. I miss him and his wonderful grin so very much.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. Many of my best memories were with Erik. I loved him like a brother. Always there to help at a moments notice. Always smiling, energetic, and leading his friends to be better people. He never let an opportunity to slip away. He lived his life to the fullest enjoyment he could, and made sure his friends did too. He touched so many peoples lives. Erik will be greatly missed.
