Joyce Park
January 24, 1934- July 11, 2012

Joyce Park passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in Redding, California. She was born on January 24,1934 in Pierce, Oklahoma. When she was 14 years old her family moved to Roswell, New Mexico.

After she graduated from beauty school, she met her future husband, Jack Park who was stationed at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell. They were married six months later on July 16, 1955. When Jack was discharged from the Air Force they moved back to the family ranch that Jack had grown up on in Palo Cedro, California.

In 1963 they purchased 1000 colonies of bee hives from Jack's brother, Homer Park and started their bee business; J. Park Bee Farms, Inc. All four of their children worked in the bees with them. They had a very successful bee business until Jack's death in 1988.

Joyce's greatest joys in life were being Jack's wife and the mother of their four children. She was very supportive of her children and grandchildren. She attended their 4-H, FFA, sporting events and awards ceremonies. She watched horse shows and gun shooting events, clapping the loudest so they would know she was there.

Joyce was a past president of the Junction School PTA and served on the board of the ladies Auxiliary of the California State Beekeepers Association for many years also serving as their President.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, sister Clara Hinkle, and brother Ernest Bullard. She leaves behind her sisters Joy Lee Roberts, Mary Helton and Onie May Hicks, her four children, Tanya Wooters and her husband Casey, Kenneth Park and his wife Lori, Jackie Park-Burris and her husband Jim and Rick Park. Her six grandchildren Kalli Wooters, Daren Wooters, and his wife Alissa, Keith Park, Jamie Park, Ryan Burris, and Randal Burris and his wife Andrea. One great-granddaughter Josie Ann Reit.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro, California.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Tanya and Jackie would like to thank the staff in House One at Sierra Oaks for their wonderful care and the generous amount of love they gave to our beloved mom.

Dear Tanya, Jackie, Kenny, Rick and families
We are sad for the loss of your mom but at the same time what a blessing that she is with your dad, the love of her life! They are holding hands, she is giggling and feeling happy and safe again.
