Logan James Whittle, 11, of Redding, California passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Sutter Hospital in Sacramento. He was born in Redding, California to Maria and Jim Whittle on January 11, 2005.
Logan is survived by his parents, sister Bella, Grandparents, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
He attended 6th grade at Sequoia Middle School and his favorite thing to do was to play soccer. Logan also enjoyed spending time with his family, playing with his friends, school, and video games.
Services will be held on December 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 2600 Shasta View Drive in Redding.

Dear Logan , Sorry I haven’t worked up the courage to write in the guess book until now but I miss you man. It really sucked when I came back from Winter break and found out you died and missed the funeral. I just want to thank you for showing me why life is speacial and valuable throughout my life. Thank you for being one of my best friends as a kid and being there for me when I just moved to Redding.

Logan, youve been my best friend since pre school. 2 YEARS OLD in fact. i love you so so much as my best friend and brother. It's almost a year now since this tragic loss, and if the Whittles or any other friends/family are reading this now I would like to express my latent sorrows and condolences. Logan's memory is a treasure I will cherish throughout my life. He is so missed, and the simplest things, such as the way a friend smiles or a lyric on the radio, bring him back to me when I least expect it. Maria, Jim, and Bella: your strength is incredible, and your loss resounds with us all.
You rule stronger than my cat whom lives in fire like a G.O.A.T.

I have known Logan since he joined me at Manzanita elementary. he was my best friend i remember playing soccer with him when he always had a struggle in soccer of making a single goal.

I have new Logan since kindergarten he was my best friend I miss him so much me and my friends had the game where we were all family and Logan was my son and he would call me mommy and I love him to the moon and back and I miss you so much I will never forget you in my heart. Logan is in a good place now. I love you and will never forget you

I've known loagan J whittle since I was two years old. He's an amazing and talented boy who was caring and funny two. I wish my friends and I could've said our goodbyes to him before he went to god. But I am happy that he is in a better place now. I miss his histeriacal lepercon stories from third grade. I miss seeing him on the soccer field. He was a good friend. I had math with him and everyone in my class misses him dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss. My daughter Angelica was in his core class at Sequoia. She's heartbroken. She said he was so very very sweet. Jim, Maria & Bella,
Logan will always be remembered as the sweet little boy who we would see running around your front lawn. I recall how you so carefully planned his birthday parties with his favorite Thomas the Tank Engine.
You both are such adoring and devoted parents. He was blessed to have been born into such a loving family.
We are so heart broken for your loss. His spirit will be with you always and hope there is at least some solace in knowing you will see him again.
