Tom - It's now one year since you started your journey to the Great Beyond. By now you should be firmly entrenched with our Lord in the hereafter. Entrenched enough so that you can join Nancy in putting in a good word(s) for me. I can't think of anybody more qualified then you and Nancy to do that. Yes Tom, you are gone but I'll never forget you. Uncle Ray

Tom - Today is 9 months since you began your journey to the Great Beyond. It's 9 long months for your parents, wife, children, brothers and sisters, relatives and numerous friends that you picked up in your 53 plus years on earth. I don't want to go into detail or start a family argument but I do feel that your birth mother is carrying the biggest load grieving your absence. Rightfully so, as she had known you the longest. Nine months more than your Dad. This does not mean that your Mom and Dad are the only grievers, it just means that the rest are too numerous to mention. Tom. by now you have probably met all the relatives who have proceeded you into the Great Beyond. They are also too numerous to mention. Rest in peace. Uncle Ray

Tom - Today, December 25th is Christmas Day. It is also five long months ago that the Good Lord took you home. I know that the world is for the living as the dead are resting in peace but I can't help it when ever I think of your Aunt Nancy my thoughts and prayers also stray to you, as the two of you are my most recent loved ones who have gone to the Great Beyond. Tom, you are gone but not forgotten. Uncle Ray

To the entire Sabourin family. It's been over 10 weeks. When will grieving get easier for you? Who knows! Grieving is something that is done in various ways. No two people grieve alike. Do not dwell on regrets. Dwell on all the good times that you had with Tom. I'm sure they are numerous. Stay away from "if" situations. Dwelling on "ifs" can drive you up a wall. "Ifs" deal with history. You can only learn from it. It's impossible to change. I'm not an expert on grieving. If I was, I'd write a book on it. My thoughts and prayers are with all the Sabourins during this continuous trying time. You need to support and be a comfort to each other. I love you guys, Uncle Ray

My dear son Carl expressed this family's sentiments perfectly. We will miss Tom's wit, his smile, his love of music, his passion for life. He was just good company. Geoff and I had many dear memories over the years of good times with Tom and Irene. Many Christmas Eve's with their family. What a loving family he has. We will miss him, but he knows we hold him in our hearts.

Sabourin Family,
Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Tom will be very much missed by many people, but especially by the entire Boyd family. Our family will not be the same without Tom's laughter at Christmas and other family events. We were blessed by the time we had with him and he will be greatly missed. We love you and will always be here for you.

Tom was 5 yrs old when Roland and I came to calif. in 59. we met Tom Sporadically over the years.
We met again at his Dad's 85th birthday party. I was so impressed with the way he carried himself. Again we saw him at Nancy Kulzer's memorial in Buena Park Ca.
We had nice time in the garage with Tom Carlyn and myself going over old 33 1/3 records. Tom fought the good fight with grace dignity and courage. we just hope we have that strength when its our time. The family members will be in my prayer for some time.
God bless and keep Thomas Sabourin.

We are truly saddened with the loss of a true friend. I worked with Tom for several years in the dealerships. My wife and I enjoyed our friendship with Irene and Tom.Since moving away to Denver, we had lost touch. But you guys had always been on ours minds, and now you are in our prayers. I will never forget the car stories, the concerts, and just plain good times! Friends like Tom are far and few between, you will truly be missed. Julie and I will have Irene, Mellisa and Matthew and family in our thoughts and prayers.

I wish to express my sincere sympathy to Irene, Melissa, Matthew and the entire Sabourin family. May you find comfort in treasured memories. Tom went from a painful life to a pain free hereafter. He has now joined with family and friends in the Great Beyond. Tom was my go-to-guy whenever I had a problem with my Taurus or Ranger. He was willing and ready to help his Uncle. His over the phone diagnosis was always correct. Over the years I teased Tom about a blanket incident that happened when he was a little boy. In May 2006 when Nancy and I visited at his home in Fair Oaks, I told Tom that enough was enough and that I would never tease him about the blanket again. Tom just laughed. I'm glad I did that. If anybody reading this wants to know about the blanket, all I can say is, ask Tom. Uncle Ray

Tom was such a positive person -- always genial and eager to enjoy life. I will miss his humor, great taste in music, and camaraderie. He exemplified the best that a family member and Brother-In-Law could ever be...

Mel and Joe are my friends and were my neighbors. Most of the time when Tom came to visit I 'd run over to say "hi". In spite of his repeated trouble with cancer, Tom was always up-beat, as were his parents. Tom was charming and courageous and the memory of him will be an example for all of us. Mel and Joe, there are no words for the loss of a child. I'll be here for you.

What does one say at a time like this, except, Tom is a wonderful, caring person who kept everyone laughing, even though he had so many hurdles. He gave so much support and hope for all who knew him at our cancer support group. Irene and family, you are so lucky to have loved him. My prayers are with you.

My heart goes out to all the family. Although I did not know Tom personally, I have been a good friend of his sister Tina for several years. She has shared with me Tom's battle with cancer. He truly fought against it the best he could. I am deeply sorry to hear of Tom's passing, and pray that the Lord will sustain you all at this time.
Sincerely,
