To the Dodson family, I offer you my condolences.
I was so fortunate to know Tom through my work at the City of Redding. He always had a big smile and something positive to say! His folksy humor was always present (and enjoyed). He never wasted time bad-mouthing anyone...just not his nature to be judgmental. He was a true gentleman with a kind soul, and will not be forgotten..

I think about the Dodson family and it takes me to Anderson and a long standing family of the community. Tom was a good friend to my family. Always remember him stopping in to say "hi" to my folks and ALWAYS driving a clean, well-polished truck. So sorry to hear about Tom's passing. A thoughtful man.

I have known Tom since third grade and have been friends ever since. We went on our first double dates in Jr. High together, hunted and bucked hay on his parents ranch in Anderson. He saw me off at the old Redding bus station when I joined the Air Force in 68 and Tom was my Best Man at my wedding in 71. Tom was a Great guy, always fun and joy to be around. I was very sad to hear the news of his passing. Tom was a Great friend and will be missed.

For many years Tom was a maintenance worker foreman for the City of Redding. I came in contact with him at the police department which was always needing lots of maintenance work. Tom was a great guy, always upbeat and quick with a smile and upbeat comment. He was fun to be around and we joked a lot. Hope his family is doing well.
