Tracy Hallstrom Obituary

Tracy Hallstrom

On Saturday, April 4, 2020 our beloved sister Tracy Hallstrom died of a sudden heart attack at the early age of fifty-six.

Tracy was born on June 11,1963, in Redding to Patsy and Einar (Hal) Hallstrom. She was one of two adorable twin girls. She graduated from Shasta High School. She held various jobs, one of them taking her to Alaska. She later returned to Redding, where she worked for the Federal Government, for many years.

Tracy was an accomplished competitive roller skater. She also had a passion for painting and was very creative in a variety of mediums. She loved all animals, but especially dogs. If you were one of Tracy's dogs, you had it made!

She was outspoken, fun loving, had a wonderful sense of humor and was very outgoing. She was kind, loving and had a heart of gold. She was a devoted daughter, who loved her family, friends and dogs deeply.

Tracy was preceded in death by her mother, Pat, and father, Einar (Hal). She is survived by her twin sister, Stacy, brother Bill, sister Kym, and several nieces and nephews.

We will greatly miss Tracy, she added a spark of light to the world.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Redding Haven Humane Society in Tracy's memory.

I just heard about Tracy's death. I'm shocked and very sorry for the family, including her twin sister. I enjoyed Tracy's company and friendship over the years. I also knew her family a bit and loved her Dad, especially. Tracy used to make me laugh and I was in awe of her computer skills and general talent in all things creative! This place on the world's map will not shine as brightly now that she's gone.

What can I say? Words escape me at times like this when there is no sense. Tracy was far too young to leave us seemingly without warning. To me that makes no sense. It's been years, decades actually since I spent much time around Tracy but that doesn't mean the fondness I felt had at all faded. On the contrary, my memories and feelings of her became more profound over the years. The contact she and I had in recent years albeit brief made one thing clear; Tracy was still a very loving, kind, appreciative and genuine woman. She had grown into a delightful, tolerant and decent person. She was herself still the lovely little girl i use to swim with on many hot summer afternoons but now only older...nothing else really had changed. Of course, she showed the maturity most do with age but she hadnt lost the childlike love of people and animals and all that's good in the world like some unfortunately do. It hurts so deeply to know that her baby and love Eddie was there when she died unable to help his momma, his best friend, his everything. I suppose now that he's joined her I am glad for him though knowing he died before it was his time is a painful process. Hard to accept. I know Tracy was waiting for him and he went to her tail wagging and licking her face. They both left way too soon. I see it as senseless. Rest in peace little girl. Rest in peace.
