Betty Paramore Obituary

Mrs. Betty Lou Holland Paramore, 63, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at her home. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Paramore was a native and lifelong resident of Greenville. She was employed as the arts and crafts manager at University Book Exchange for 29 years retiring in 2005. She was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Paramore was a loving mother, sister, wife, and grandmother, whom gave her life to serving others. She loved her family, co-workers and Lord and Savior which all gave her the strength to live her life and fight her battle with cancer. With Christ being in her heart she was able to give testimonies to others, being with Christ gave her peace and a quality of life which nothing could replace. The precious times of her life were the simplest ones, which were watching her birds, feed around the habitats she made for them. What a joy it gave her sharing this pleasure with her grandson, and to see her during these times was who Mrs. Betty was.
Mrs. Paramore was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna Belle Holland, sister, Shirley Biggs, and a brother, Clarence Ray Holland.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Darwin E. Paramore Sr.; son, Darwin "Buddy" Paramore Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Stanley; grandson, Casey James Paramore, of Stanley; sisters, Judy Moore, and Diane Pilgreen and husband, Bruce, all of Greenville; brothers, Tom Holland and wife, Laura, of Hardyville, Va., and Bobby Bowen and wife, Carolyn, of Greenville; two special friends, Yvonne Perry and Sue Stamats; and the many co-workers at UBE over the years.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 7106, Greenville, NC 27835, or to University Health Systems Hospice Care, P.O. Box 6028, Greenville, NC 27835-9978.

I will miss your sweet smile and your kindness, you were always there for me. I will always cherish the memories I have of us all growing up. I thank God for giving us time to be together at Temple Church, you were loved by all there. It's hard to let go, but we know you are in Heaven and we will see you there.
You will always be in my heart.
