Lucille "Lucy" (Dail) Cannon Greenville - It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Lucille "Lucy" Dail Cannon, 82, who went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 6, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 2 pm in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum.

Lucy was raised in Pitt County and attended Winterville schools. She attended Pitt Technical Institute and worked most of her career in accounting, first in the hotel industry, and later retiring from Trinity Christian School as the well- respected head bookkeeper.

She truly loved her children, family and friends and spent much time in later years with her siblings. She was the fourth of nine and held a strong, outspoken spot in the family. She loved Jesus Christ and was a devoted member of Ballard's Community Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.S. and Louise Dail, husband, Hubert Cannon, son, Jimmy, granddaughter, Amanda, infant grandson, Michael Todd, brothers, Carson Dail and Frank Dail, and sisters, Dora Andrews and Debra Grace Dail.

She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Annette, Angela (Kelly), and Tina; grandchildren, Ashley, Jamie Dail, Kelli Ann, Dillion, and K. Connie; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Dail (Sue) and Thomas Dail (Jackie); two sisters, Mary Graves and Teresa Tripp (Mickey); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Cannon family would like to personally thank ECU Health Hospice for all of their comfort and care.
