It's been 4 years and I still can't accept that you're gone. I visit your resting place and ask myself is it true. The thought that you're not here is hard for my heart to process. I miss our Sunday afternoon talks. I miss you being here on holidays. I simply miss you. But I'm living to see you again. Kiss Granny for me. Until we meet again.

To the family, may you be comforted during this difficult time of sorrow and pain. (Psalm 147:3)

February 14, 2017

To the memory of someone whom smile lit every room she entered and the joy we all shared with every word spoken. Thank you for over 30 years of friendship that can not be replaced. From the days of Ole, I remember the travels to Greenville, NC to visit Mom, Phillis and Popcorn and host of family members I had the pleasure of meeting. I remember when mom would get up early in the morning to prepare a feast- chicken, biscuits with all the trimming.. You had to eat before leaving the house and that was standard with every family you vistied, you must eat. North Carolina you got to love them. Mary came from a family of love, great values, high standards and deep traditions that are life changing and forever present.

Theodore (Popcorn) and Phillis thanks you for the memories. Mary had a heart of gold and her light will forever shine.

My thoughts and prayer are with you all and very, very sorry for your lost...

Magdalene. How can such a long time seem, suddenly, so brief? It was decades ago that we last saw each other, yet now it seems like yesterday. When "Buck" said we were going to see his sister "Little Girl" that meant fun and food with Phyllis, Magdalene and "Popcorn" while the adults did whatever adults did. Magdalene and Phyllis were like sisters to us since we had none of our own. Magdalene is one of those memories that brings sunshine with it. I will remember her sunshine.

I lost touch with Mary and sorry to hear of her death. I will always remember the good times and us working together at the NBW and the two of us going to the circus together acting like big kids. I will miss that big smile.
