Merton Sutton Obituary
GREENVILLE - Merton Bradley Sutton, 57, lifetime resident of Greenville, NC, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018.
Mert was born on September 22, 1960 to the late James E. Sutton and Sara Williams Sutton. He was also predeceased by his sister, Lisa Ann Sutton and brother, Bobby Sutton.
Mert graduated from J.H.Rose High School and attended UNC Chapel Hill. He spent his career in the tire service and real estate businesses. Mert enjoyed sharing good food and spending time with his many loyal, compassionate friends. Mert is survived by his sister, Gayle Sutton Matyiko (Jim) of Chesapeake, VA; Jimmy Sutton (Ann) of Greenville; nieces, Sara M. Chorba (Michael), Jenna M. Caperton (Charlie), Stacy Sutton and Deanna Sutton; great nieces, Sydney Sutton and Sadie Caperton. Lainey Chorba and great nephew, Landon Chorba.
A celebration of Mert's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
Mert will forever be in the hearts of all those who deeply loved him. As published in The Daily Reflector
