Peggy Williams Obituary
WASHINGTON - Mrs. Peggy Rose Harris Williams, 76, went to join her husband and to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 17, 2025 with her family by her side. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. The family received friends from 12:30 - 1:45 PM. Burial followed in Pinewood Memorial Park. Peggy lived most of her life in Beaufort and Pitt counties and engaged in farming along with her husband. She was a member of Black Jack Original FWB Church and enjoyed fellowship with residents of Ridgewood Manor. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Williams; mother, Maggie Rawls; father, John Thad Harris; and brothers, James Granville Harris and Leslie B. Harris. She is survived by sons, Joey Glenn Williams of Greenville, Thomas Harold Williams of Okinawa, Japan, and Johnny Dean Williams, Sr. and wife, Jenny, of Washington; grandchildren, Jennifer Alexandra Williams, Johnathan Michael Williams, Johnny Dean Williams, Jr., Elizabeth Marie Williams and James Blake Williams; brother, Grady "Buddy" Gray Harris and wife, Lynda, of Washington; sister, Mary Ann Kelly of Ayden; and special nephew, Christopher Lee Williams. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Black Jack Original FWB Church, 2972 Black Jack-Simpson Rd., Greenville, NC 27858. Arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home and Crematory.
