Sophie J. Leggett BEAR GRASS - Sophie Jane Leggett, 86, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2008. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens. She was born Aug. 30, 1922, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walter Leggett. She was married to John M. Leggett on Nov. 26, 1941. He passed away Feb. 16, 2004. She was a homemaker. She had three children a daughter Carolyn Powers and husband Alfred of Bear Grass, two sons Johnny "Milford" Leggett of Williamston and Walter Leggett and wife Mary of Bear Grass, four grandchildren Lisa Donlan of Bear Grass, Michael Leggett of Raleigh, Cyndy Coburn of Jamesville and Kathy Conizliaro of Plymouth. She had seven great grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Essie Woolard of Virginia Beach, VA. She attended Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston Arrangements by Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston.
