Wesley Cannon brought such joy to so many people and I have certainly missed him since his retirement. He always had a smile and made you feel good. What a special man he was! Deepest sympathy to his family.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you, the family of Wesley Cannon.I first met Wesley over 46 years ago when we were young NCOS at Jet engine school at Sheperd AFB in Texas. When we left school he offered me a ride to Lexington Ky. so i could catch a bus to Lockbourne AFB in Ohio.I next met him in 1990 when I was hired as a part time rural carrier at the Greenville post office after I had moved here from Texas where we had retired. And we reviewed our Air Force careers. Makes that cliche true,"small world, isn't it?"

Anyone who really understood Wesley, knew that they had a true friend, no matter how many miles and how much time went by. I can remember hearing him whistle as he cased his mail in the morning, trying to start up a joke or a laugh from someone as we did our work. And in the evenings when we came in, he still had that same smile and laughter from a job well done and a day well lived.
My heart goes out to your family Wes.

Mr. Cannon was a wonderful man and a much appreciated mail carrier. When our home was water damaged several years ago, he took such good care of our mail during the six months we were out of our home. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family. I hope he got to do some fishing during his short retirement. Marsha Blair, Greenville, NC

Wesley was a friend of my father and mother, but he also let me know that he was there for me unconditionally whenever I needed him. He touched my heart with his warmth and kindness in a way that I will be eternally greatful. I feel fortunate to have known such a wonderful person and will miss him very much.
