Dear Uncle Willie,
People are singing about the good things that have done for them. You gave a dynamic performance on this earth. Well done. Thanks for giving me a chance to walk and talk with my Father and for teaching me the lessons that he taught you.I didn't realize that I had been with an Angel and our Family LEGEND until you fell asleep. You will go down as History in my Family book.
Oh! Uncle Willie did you hear the Family clapping in appreciation after I told them that you had given me your DNA to help out with my family genealogy ? It will be shared with all coming generations? You were the greatest. That's why you were chosen to be the LAST Grandson walking. I will wait to hear your voice whenever I hit a brick wall as I do my research.
WILLIE JAY NELSON: My hero, wind beneath my wings, family legend, last Grandson, my Father's brother, my 2nd Father, a kind & good man, a man of God, a mighty man who made a 360 degrees life change, a man of all that & some more. Thank you God for accepting him into your Kingdom.--his niece Mat NELSON-de Jesus

I remember Mat took me to his house and he said "You look just like Rosetta (my Mom)." He had a sharp mind. I enjoyed him at the 2015 NELSON-MILLS Family Celebration. He was Happy to be among his family members. This was a valuable time for him and us. I am so glad I came. Thanking God for the time I spent with him. ----Doris

I used to be so Happy when Uncle Willie used to drive my Daddy here to see me. He continued to come to see me with my sister Mat after my Father passed. Later he told her that he wasn't able to travel long distant any more. I remember how happy he made my husband when he came with Mat to his Birthday Party. My husband thought a lot of him too. I am going to miss coming to Greenville to visit him.
