Cynthia Eack Obituary

BLOOMINGTON - Cynthia A. (Shull) Eack, 51, Bloomington, peacefully passed away at her home at 3:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, in Bloomington.
Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington with Pastor Thomas Wirsing officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at the church.
Cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers or plants, it was her wish that memorials be made to the Illinois CancerCare Foundation, for cancer research and support to others in this region of Illinois who continue to fight the battle with cancer. Further details may be found at www.illinoiscancercare.com. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cindy was born on May 27, 1962, in Paris, Mo., the daughter of Larry and Marilyn Shull. She married Kevin D. Eack on June 2, 1984, at St. John's Church of Christ in Waterloo, Ill. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Michelle R. (Leandro Mora) Eack of Miami, Fla.; a son, Michael B. Eack of Bloomington; one brother, Kevin L. Shull of Waterloo, Ill.; father in-law, Dean Eack of Iowa; one sister in-law, Pamela Soper of Champaign; one brother in-law, Roger Brannan of Rock Island, Ill.; four nephews, Shaun Eack of Pittsburgh, Pa., Shane Eack of Indianapolis, Ind., Ryan Shull and Aaron Shull, both of Hecker, Ill.; and her treasured aunts and uncles, cousins and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother in-law, Shirley Eack; her sister in-law, Stacy Brannan; her aunt, Maxine Finley and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Cindy graduated from Waterloo High School and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She obtained her Masters of Science in communications from the University of Illinois in 2000. She worked in marketing, sales, higher education, started a garden design business and she attained the Master Gardner designation.
She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She lived her life fully, embracing each day with passion and joy, and was loved by all who know her. Her strength of character was admirable and her faith in God was strong. Cindy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
Cindy was devoted to her husband, Kevin and her two children, Michelle and Michael. She will be remembered for her tireless support and dedication to always being present for family and friends, and encourage everyone to live up to their highest potential.
