Joseph McNabb Obituary
Joe was born to George W. and Norma E. (Bigg) McNabb Jr., on Feb. 16, 1958, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He graduated from Indian Hills Community College, with an associate degree in metal fabrication. He worked at Heat and Control as a metal fabricator for 20 years in Galesburg.
Joe had many hobbies including, playing guitar, piano, writing music, riding his motorcycle, and riding horses. He was known to many as a walking encyclopedia when it came to rock music.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Quinn of Ottumwa; sister, Sharon Hanson of Brazoria, Texas; brothers, James (Jess) McNabb of Galesburg, John (Jodie) McNabb of Tucson, Arizona, and Jerry (Laura) McNabb of Leavenworth, Kansas; children, Stephanie (Travis) Anderson-Warner of Ottumwa, Jami (Jose) McNabb of Des Moines, Danny (Mandy) McNabb of Ottumwa, James (Shana) WedLake of Ottumwa; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Norma; nephew, Jarold McNabb; good friend, Randy Throckmorton; and many other family members.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Joe's family present at Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Memorials may be directed to Joe's family. Arrangements entrusted with Sinnott Funeral Home in Ottumwa.
