Shirley Bella Obituary

GALESBURG - Shirley Beth Bella, 92, Galesburg, died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
She was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Monmouth, the daughter of Roy I. and Doris Genevieve White Peterson. She married Peter Joseph Bella on Sept. 4, 1961. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ann Moore of Winter Haven, Florida and Linda Ruth (Thomas) Sailer of Knoxville, Tennessee; her sister, Rosemary Brotherton of Galesburg; three nieces, Deanne Tupcienko of Houston, Texas, Teri (Lee) Malone of Deer Park, Texas, and Vicki (Bob) Johnson of Peoria; her grandson, Darrell Moore of Haines City, Florida; two great-granddaughters; two great-great-granddaughters; and two great-nephews, Robbie (Traci) Cupps of Houston, Texas and Brent (Chloe) White of Seabrook, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband; her brother, Robert Edward Peterson; her sister, Maryan; and her son-in-law, Robert E. Moore.
Shirley had worked for Century 21 and Dairy Mart. She also had worked as a housekeeper. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1942. She enjoyed reading.
Shirley's wishes were to be cremated. No services are planned. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.

I am very sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. My condolences to Rosie and the rest of the family. I always enjoyed "The Three Musketeers".
