Timothy Stenson Obituary
Dahinda - Mr. Timothy B. Stenson, 67, of Oak Run, Illinois passed away suddenly at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
He was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on August 31, 1953 to John and Ruth (Buyack) Stenson. He married the love of his life, Kathy S. Ruhl at Bishop Hill, Illinois on March 28, 1975. He was a loving husband, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle and is survived by Stephanie Ford, Cheron Stenson, Robin (and Bill) McNamara, Jane (and Jeff) Frazier, Neil (and Joy) Ruhl, and two loving Cocker Spaniels, Danny and Scarlet. He is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy S. Stenson, his brothers, Mark, Nelson, Anthony, and John and a brother-in-law, Stan Ruhl.
Tim worked in the optical industry for most of his life. In recent years, he transitioned to a career at KCCDD and was known for his caring demeanor. Tim enjoyed live music, jamming with friends, playing guitar, caring for animals and the serenity of the lake. He volunteered for several years with the Doggie Jog, Knox County Humane Society where he was a board member, and church services at Knox County Nursing Home.
Cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation or memorial service. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society, KCCDD, or Oak Run First Responders. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.

Tim was a strong supporter to me when I lost my husband (Tim's Brother). He didn't let miles keep him from lending his care and concern. I'm going to miss him very much and will think fondly of him often.
