DAVID EVERETT Obituary

EVERETT, DAVID A. David A. Everett, 78, of Torrington, CT, passed away Saturday, December 6th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of 57 years MaryAnn (Chausz) Everett. David was born in Westfield MA on September 13, 1936, a son of the late Geneva (Adams) and George S Everett. He served in the U.S. Air Force on the Texas Tower Fleet. He was employed as a meat cutter for Stop and Shop for 27 years in several locations throughout the State. David was an avid trout fisherman, his mastery began when he was a young boy fishing local rivers and streams. He had Parkinson’s disease for 29 years but loved spending time with family and friends, fishing the Farmington and Housatonic Rivers, enjoying Yankees and Redskins and going to the casino. In addition to his wife, he leaves his son James Everett and wife Valerie of Collinsville and daughter Susan Drozdenko and husband Paul of Harwinton, brothers Carl Everett of Vallejo CA and Donald Everett of Bristol. He was predeceased by son Stephen. Funeral Services will be held at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington, CT, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9th, with Rev John Silliman officiating. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
