It was with a sense of personal loss that I read of the passing of Deputy Chief Ed Devito. Ed served with me during my years as Chief at Torringford VFD. He was a great guy, always willing to help and suggest things that were always for the good of the department. Add to all that, just being an always nice, considerate, and kind person, set him apart from the rest.
Shirley and family, deepest sympathies to you and may he rest in peace in that great firehouse in the sky.
Sincerely,
Jack Wallace
Former Chief
Torringford Vol. Fire Department

I would like to say that I am sorry for your loss. I knew Ed from the Ct Fire Police Association and know that he will be missed by us all. I will always remember traveling across the state with him to attend meetings. We will never forget our brother. And to Ed's family, may God be you. Mark Sager
