I'm at David and 1961 in the third grade. We played at each other's house every once in awhile. Afterwards I moved to a different School but would see him from time to time. Right after I came to the Lord in 1971 we became fast friends again. From that time on until 1978 when I moved to Idaho it seems that we were always together. Since he passed away, there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. We were completely two different types of people, but what a blessing it was to have him as my best friend for so long. I am looking forward to sharing heaven with him soon. I'll see you soon old friend. The Best Is Yet To Come, Rick Mansfield.

Dearest Lanning family and friends,
I am so sorry for your (our) loss! David was an amazing person and pastor, as you already know! He was my parents' (Jim and Eve Hickman's) pastor for many years, and we loved going to your (their) church whenever we were in Eugene! David welcomed us every time, as if we were members there too:-)). He
even took my mom to a doctor's appointment a few years ago - such dedication! He loved Jesus with his whole heart and it showed in everything he did!! I'm so grateful that our paths crossed in this life, starting in childhood at Calvary Temple!
May God comfort and heal your (our) hearts - as He's promised - as we trust Him every step of His way!!!
Love and prayers!
