David Wach Obituary

1973-2014

David Eric Wach passed away peacefully at his home in Eugene on January 29, 2014 with his wife at his side after a 2 year battle with spinal cancer. He was 40.

He was born in Tulsa, OK on March 3, 1973 to Phillip and Elizabeth (Olson) Wach. The family moved to Utah and Hawaii then settled in Oregon where David graduated from Brookings Harbor High School. He married his wife of 16 years, Marla Hernandez, on Sept 6, 1997 and they made their home in Eugene to later raise their son, Owen. He worked as a Network Administrator for PacificSource Health Plans and in his free time was always planning the next family vacation.

David was preceded in death by his sister Camille Wach. He is survived by his wife Marla and son Owen; his parents Phillip and Elizabeth Wach of St George, UT; sister Diana (Eric) Evensen of Portland OR; brother Christopher (Ricki) Wach of South Jordan, UT; and sister Laurel (Brian) Clifford of Lake Havasu City, AZ.

David's witty sense of humor and ability to laugh about most anything helped to make his last two years of life surprisingly manageable. His spirit lives on in all those whose lives he touched and while we miss him tremendously we honor him by continuing to live and laugh and love.

Contributions can be made to the David E. Wach fund at Oregon Community Credit Union for medical expenses and a college fund for his son.
