David Walling went to be with his wife, Jane, on October 4, 2013. Jane preceded him in death on July 25, 2013.

David was born in Ustik, Idaho on March 26, 1917 to Sidney and Nettie Walling. He married Helen Lane in March 1932. They had four children, two of them, both girls, died at birth, unfortunately Helen died in 1974. That same year he married Dolly Hadley, but she passed away after only six months. On July 26, 1975, David married Jane Rietmann. They were married for 38 years.

David is survived by two sons, Jerry of Oakridge, Oregon, and Roger of Tigard, Oregon; and five step-children, Helen Lane and Virginia Adams of Idaho, Yvonne Birdsell of California, Mark Rietmann and Robin Campbell of Bend, Oregon; also four grandchildren, six great-grandchidlren, and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home, 105 NW Irving Ave., Bend, OR 97701.
