Frederick Dymock Obituary

Frederick C. Dymock
1/26/1936 - 3/21/2021
Frederick (Fred) C. Dymock went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 21, 2021. He was at home surrounded by family. Fred was born Jan. 26, 1936 in Phoenix, AZ to Alfred and Augustina (Tina Deubler) Dymock. The family moved to Oregon when Fred was about two years old and settled in Grants Pass. He graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1954. He loved playing sports but decided rally squad was where he would be able to help the teams. In his senior year he was elected Rally King, which was a Student Body Officer. He met his future bride, Patricia (Pat) Annis when they were in seventh grade and they were married June 22, 1956. He attended Southern Oregon College (SOC) in Ashland, Oregon. They lived in Southern Oregon where their children, Cathy, Rick, Barb, and Jill were born. The family spent many summers camping at Indian Mary Park and enjoying trips to the Oregon coast. Fred worked for a safety supply company and in 1970 was transferred to Eugene. In 1978, Fred and his business partner started Norwest Safety. He enjoyed his work and made a lot of friends as he traveled throughout his territory. He sold his share of the business in 1996 and retired. They moved to the Vida area in 1988 where he and Pat enjoyed 28 years living on the bank of the McKenzie River just east of Ben and Kay Dorris Park. They moved back to Eugene in 2016. He enjoyed Oregon athletics and they were long-time University of Oregon season ticket holders of Football, Men and Women's Basketball, Volleyball and Softball. Fred loved talking to people. He was very outgoing and he "Never met a stranger". He enjoyed joking and teasing all the time.
Survived by his wife, Pat, of 64 years, children, Cathy Kay (Mike), Rick (Teresa), Barb Morgan (Jon) and Jill Lunsford (Craig). Grandchildren, Trish Morgan, Jonathan Morgan (Susannah), Derrick Dymock, Drew Dymock, Amanda Wright, Nolan Lunsford and Eli Lunsford. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Broer, brothers Alfred Jr. and Lawrence "Bugs".
He was a member of the Elks Club, Upper McKenzie Lions Club, Duck Athletic Fund, and the Daisy Ducks.
Fred had asked that no services be held. The family will have a private graveside service at a future date. We are asking in lieu of flowers please consider donating in his name to Daisy Ducks (DAF) or Sacred Heart Hospice.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Sacred Heart Hospice for their very special care of Fred and his family.

To Pat and Barb, I remember you husband and Dad from Daisy Ducks. He was always such a happy person and so encouraging to talk to when I saw him. Thinking and saying a prayer for your entire family.

Fred was just an all around fun guy. Always thinking of fun things to do and fun things to say. Everyone in Grants Pass High School's class of 1954 will miss him.
