Gregory Giustina Obituary
Gregory (Greg) H. Giustina, of Eugene, passed away on December 19, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born in Eugene, Oregon on December 31, 1926 to Irene (Onorato) Giustina and Erminio Giustina. He grew up in Pleasant Hill, Oregon.
Greg served in the United States Army 1950-1952 in the Allied Occupation of Germany. He married Verda Coffman in 1953 and they settled in Eugene, where he worked for and was a partner in Giustina Bros. Lumber Company.
Greg was proud of his family, his country and his Italian heritage. He enjoyed his membership in the Eugene Country Club and was a world traveler, including countless road trips to "away" Duck football games near and far. He was a loyal lifetime University of Oregon football fan.
He is survived by his wife, Verda, daughters Sylvia Giustina, Teri Giustina, Angie Giustina, Vicki Meyer (Bill), son John Giustina (Jennifer), five grandchildren, brother Ehrman Giustina, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:15 PM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eugene, where Greg was a lifelong parishioner. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers you may wish to consider a gift to St. Vincent de Paul of Lane County.
