My sympathy to Julie and family. I first met
Steve when he was a busy 5 year old. I was
his sister in-law for 20+ years. Steve was like one of my children, we took him camping whenever we could and attended
lots of football games. Farewell #15.

I have so many great memories with Steve as far back as early grade school. Making up nicknames of kids and teachers. He was always a crack up. Lots of good times. He definitely set the bar high.

Julie, Jordan and Jenna how blessed you were to have such a wonderful husband and father. He leaves behind so many loving memories to comfort you during a very difficult time and to treasure for a lifetime.
Julie we enjoyed the time we spent with you and Steve watching our girls play Webfoot volleyball. Steve was so full of love and kindness. He truly was in his element emersed in sports, especially when it was his daughter participating.
I was comforted in knowing that he was blessed with the marriage of both girls and with the birth of his first Grand baby! Good job Steve.
I share in your heartbreaking loss and will pray for everyday to bring a little more sunshine back into your lives.
Hugs, Cindy Backlund (Bassford)

Julie and family, I hope that God holds your Hearts during this extremely difficult time. I can not imagine how you feel.....Steve was such a wonderful person and friend to so many. He will be missed. Bergie as I alway's called him was just a kid when I meant him at Briggs Middle School. I enjoyed Briggs and Thurston with Steve.
He was a great athlete and so funny on many occasions. He used to tell jokes that I laughed so hard at it
made my face hurt. May God let all of his memories see you through this time and all of the years to follow.
You are in my prayers. Cynthia Schnee Howard

Dan and I will forever cherish and honored to be not only neighbors, but true friendship with the "Bergies" how lucky are we to have had almost 20 years of our lives shared in one way or another. We have had so many laughs and great conversations over the "fence". We have shared our love for animals, and comforted each other when we lost them. Steve's heart for animals was huge. One of our best memories is saving the kitten stuck under the tunnels under ground. The lengths Steve and Dan took to save that baby kitten was amazing. Melts my heart ❤....Steve had such good humor...He also was the kind hearted person to step up when he saw a need to help. When Dan had major back surgery, it was in the fall season, Steve was the first one out there racking our leaves and mowing our lawn.....we have so many memories like these I could go on.....Julie, my heart absolutely breaks for you and the girls. You and Steve are and will forever be soul mates. You were just the perfect fit for each other. You made a beautiful life together, and Legacy lives on through Jordan, Jenna, and Little Archie....and God knows the rest of your legacy to come! We love you, and we are here for you Julie....please do not hesitate to ask if you need anything.....again, we are saddened and can not put into words how much we will miss Steve. God has a plan, we must trust this and believe Steve is in a very very amazing place.....from our hearts to yours.....the "Hoisingtons" D&M
