CHARLES W. POLLET
WEST ALEXANDRIA — Charles (Charlie) W. Pollet, 68, of West Alexandria, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 7, 2014, following a lengthy illness. He was born April 28, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana to John and Neomi (Copp ) Pollet.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Moodie.
Charlie is survived by his wife Doris J. (Wolfe) Pollet, sons Jason W. (Kerri) Pollet of Columbus, and James T. Pollet of San Francisco, California, sisters Joyce E. Piper of Wapakoneta, and Judy K. (Ernie DeSalvatore) Sullo of Branford, Connecticut, brother-in-law Danny Moodie of Dayton, step-daughters Donna (Johnny) Monroe of Greens Fork, Indiana, Diane (Scott) Griffith of Troy, and Linda (Kevin Caplinger) Harrison of Eaton, grandchildren Anthony (Anna) Smith, Amanda (Steve) Stout, Jonathon (Falon) Kleinberg, Aaron Monroe and Mark Kleinberg, and great-grandchildren Lucas Stout and Kelsey Smith.
Charlie served in the U.S. Army, retired from General Motors, was a member of Ohio Mini Owners club of Dayton, was a former Troop Master of Boy Scout Troop #107, and a member of American Legion Post #322.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. John Church, 20 E. South St., West Alexandria with Pastor Ron Dafler presiding.
Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, your local food bank or the British Museum of Transportation, Dayton.

Dear Charlie Although our meetings were few over the decades, you were always a delilght to be with. Our fondest memories were the vacation we spent with you and your family in the Outer Banks. You will be missed by many but the memories will always be with us.
