TORRINGTON - Diona S. Gradowski died peacefully on August 29, 2025, at the age of 82 while in residence at Wolcott Hall Nursing home. She was the loving wife of the late Alex Gradowski. She was born in Torrington, July 11, 1943, as the daughter of the late Adele Alexander and Walter J Sprucinski. After graduating from High School at WAMOGO, she pursued an advertising degree at Endicott College. This was followed by employment in SNET and ending up retiring as Social Director at the Cottages in Torrington. She was an avid reader and loved to travel to new and interesting destinations. In the past few years she enjoyed the life of being a "Snowbird" wintering over in Coconut Grove, FL. She is survived by her brother Dr. John P. Sprucinski of Torrington.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Sept 13, at 10 a.m. at Saint Francis Church. Burial will follow at the New St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, please send contributions to the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation in Diona's name.www.phalenfuneral.com
