Kevin Cleary Obituary
Kevin Cleary, 74, passed away on October 16, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born at St. Mary's on April 12, 1951, to the late William W. and Harriet (Lee) Cleary.
Kevin was a graduate of Wolcott High School, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served in Germany, and for which he received the National Defense Service Medal and Marksman recognition. After his service, he returned home and was employed at Hamilton Beach as a heavy equipment operator. Later, Kevin worked for many years as a care provider.
Kevin was involved in his community by coaching in the Adult Co-Ed Softball League.
He leaves behind his wife, Christen Cleary, and her daughter, Ash Ababet, his brothers, Michael of Waterbury and Patrick of Delaware, his sister, Maureen of Litchfield, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by siblings, William, Shaun, Brian, Peter, Margaret and Harriet.
A funeral Mass will be held at the Chapel of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home ( www.prospectmemorial.com ).

I went to school with Kevin and knew the whole family because I still live on the other end of Potuccos Ring which is noe known as Kreger Drive. We all used to play baseball together near my house with all the neighborhood kids. That was a long time ago. My condolences for the loss of your brother Kevin and also for the loss of your other siblings.
