Michael Scott Yohe
Michael Scott Yohe-known simply as Scott to all who loved him-passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 63.
Born in North Tonawanda, NY, and raised in DuBois, Pennsylvania, Scott was the beloved son of Nancy Yohe and the late Delbert Yohe. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and Concordia College at the University of Wisconsin, where he laid the groundwork for what would become a distinguished career in medical imaging applications and sales. Over the years, Scott held senior positions at some of the most prominent organizations in the medical imaging industry, including GE, Philips, and Siemens, earning a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and insight.
In 1999, while living in Connecticut, Scott met the love of his life, Paul Verrastro. Over the past 26 years, they built a life full of warmth, laughter, and unwavering partnership-surrounded by love and time well spent with family. In 2018, Scott and Paul moved to West Hartford, where Scott quickly became an adored member of the neighborhood. Known for his pristine home and sharp eye for detail, Scott was a calming and familiar presence -always quick with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand.
Scott had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, heard, and understood. People naturally gravitated to him in times of need-not because he sought them out, but because his quiet strength and empathy made him a safe place to land. He was, as those close to him would say, "the best listener." His advice was always thoughtful, informed, and compassionate.
Scott was also a man of routine, purpose, and discipline. An early riser, he was often up at 3 a.m. or 4 a.m., fitting in a workout long before the rest of the world stirred. Though he was well-traveled and culturally curious, Scott was, at heart, a homebody. He found beauty in structure, comfort in familiarity, and joy in everyday rituals. His home was his sanctuary-every corner tended with care and intention.
Most recently, Scott was a valued team member at the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services in Farmington, Connecticut, where he was more than a colleague-he was family.
The world is undeniably dimmer without Scott's light-his quick wit, quiet strength, and unwavering kindness touched everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he impacted through his love, loyalty, and the beautiful, steady way he moved through the world.
Scott was predeceased by his father, Delbert, and his brother, Donald. He is survived by his husband, Paul; his mother, Nancy; and his sister, Karen Dignazio (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews-all of whom he loved visiting and spending time with.
