Robert V. Nole, age 82, of Bethlehem and Wellfleet, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. He was the loving husband of Pamela (Muckle) Nole.
Born on July 9, 1943, in Waterbury, Bob was the son of the late Vito F. and Rita (Egan) Nole. A proud graduate of Croft High School, he was the Salutatorian of the Class of 1961. He held a bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University and attended law school.
Widely known as the "Godfather of Title Searching," Bob dedicated more than 50 years to his profession as a Title Searcher and Principal of New England Title Company. A well-recognized presence in downtown Waterbury, "Bobby Nole" was admired for his expertise, professionalism, and unwavering integrity. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in "The Vault" at City Hall, where he became a respected mentor and true friend to many in the business community.
A lifelong sportsman, Bob coached his children's softball and basketball teams for many years. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the UConn Men's and Women's Basketball teams and enjoyed kayaking with his close friend, Dennis Jackson.
Above all else, Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who embraced life with joy and gratitude. He cherished dancing with his beloved wife, Pam, and treasured time spent with family at their Cape Cod home. Though he loved the beach, but not the water, his happiest moments were those shared with his grandchildren on the Cape.
In addition to Pam, his devoted wife of 55 years, Bob is survived by his children, Ericka Brayton and her husband, Thomas Brayton, III of Bethlehem and Christopher Nole of Bethlehem; and his beloved grandchildren, Thomas Brayton, IV and his fiancéE, Pat Kunkel of Boston, MA, Galvin Brayton of Boston, MA, and Addison Brayton of Bethlehem. He also leaves his sister, Mary Jane Paoli and her husband, Jack of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and his sister-in-law, Robin McDonald of Wolcott; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Cavanaugh and her husband, David; and brother-in-law, Kevin McDonald.
