Evain Ruby Obituary

Evain D. Ruby, age 89, passed away Friday, March 4th at McKee Medical Center. He entered this world on November 6, 1932, the second of four children born to Orville and Belva Ruby of Grand Island, Nebraska. He spent his formative years in Grand Island. He graduated with a degree in chemical technology from Iowa State University. Upon graduation, he was employed ty DOW Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan. It was in Midland that he met his wife, Sharon Schreiber. Evain and Sharon celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 15, 2021. In 1963, Evain moved his family to Boulder, Colorado, having been transferred by DOW Chemical to their location south of Boulder. He was employed at this same location, later under management by North American Rockwell, until his retirement in 1992, Evain and Sharon moved to Loveland. Evain survived by his wife, Sharon, and four children, Douglas (Maria) of Hinsdale, IL, Brian (Lori) of Fort Worth, TX, Martha Delaney (Michael) of Salinas, CA and Caroline Kava of Longmont, CO. He has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A sister, Jana (John) Dickinson resides in Arvada. A memorial service will be held at Faith Church, Loveland, on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or Samaritan's Purse.
