George Ott Obituary

George A. "Bud" Ott, 89, of Loveland passed away on May 29, 2016. George was born on August 9, 1926 in Chicago, IL to William H. Ott and Virginia Halverson. Bud joined the US Navy and served during World War II. He married Dorothy Gofron on April 11, 1953 in Chicago. Bud worked for the government in electronic equipment quality assurance until retirement. He is a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member and is also a member of the American Legion and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Bud enjoyed gardening and making hook rugs. Bud is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son Alan (Debbie) Ott; daughters Martie Ott, Valerie (John) Ely and Paulette Ott (Darryl Petruska); brother Robert Ott; grandchildren Beth Johnson, Shaun Ely and Zachary Ott; and great-grandchildren Draven and Autumn Johnson. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Allnutt Funeral Service. Funeral Mass 10:00am Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
