Munday, TX
Hazel Irene Pittman Cypert of Munday passed away June 20, 2018. She was born October 21, 1920 to George W Pittman and Virginia Ethel Hopwood Pittman. She and Oscar Wayne Cypert were married March 12, 1941.
Hazel was the ultimate homemaker that loved doing yard work and anything with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed neddlepoint and watching her grandchildren play sports and watching the Munday Moguls and the Texas Rangers. Holidays were special to her and she loved to cook and decorate.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oscar and great great grandchild, Riley Cypert.
Hazel is survived by her children, Melvin Cypert and Cathy Albus and husband Richard both of Munday; grandchildren, Mike Cypert and wife Kelly, Derek Cypert and wife Kathy, Angela Young and husband Jason and Alan Albus and wife Sondra; great-grandchildren, Jason Cypert, Aaron Cypert, Hunter Cypert, Amanda Cypert, Devon Cypert, Nicole Cypert, Ashlynn Young, Asher Young and Aria Albus; great-great grandchildren, Austin Cypert, Haylie Cypert, Camden Cypert, Nevaeh Keller and Leland Keller; step children, Vanessa Rodriguez, Danny Caram and William Caram; step grandchildren, Kylie, Krista and Kaleb and their families.
A visitation will be held at 5:30-6:30PM, Friday, June 22, 2018 at the funeral home in Munday. Funeral services will be on June 23, 2018 at 11AM, at the First United Methodist Church in Munday. Interment will be in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Munday First United Methodist Church Children's Fund or Keep Munday Beautiful.
