I knew Jenny Lind and her sister Marion when we were students together at David Lipscomb College from 1959 - 1962. Both were immensely talented and beautiful. Jenny wrote a note to me in my 1960 Backlog on Sunday afternoon, July 22, 1960 and I treasure it today. Death has now stilled the voice of this beautiful nightingale from Harlan, Kentucky, but it will continue to ring out in our ears and hearts forever.
