You graciously came to the Dyess Elementary I Love America program numerous times, beginning with a 1995 celebration of the end of World War II. You rode in a vintage Jeep as our Grand Marshal and appeared on stage with a 5th grade boys' re-enactment of the Flag Raising at Iwo Jima. You have also been remembered by the children in recent years as a part of the on-going patriotic program. We consider you a hero and a friend.

Rest in Peace. A true hero. He helped me so much as a Black, female, Veterans Service officer. He was always willing to help me in my service to veterans. Gone, but will never be forgotten.

Mr. Wells was the greatest "ing"-man ever. He was all about doing, being, and living life to the full. A true man of action! I will always remember his mandate as my Explorer Scouting Leader: Go, Do, and Live. And if you asked him he was also a man living with faith in God. God Bless America and all who defend her! RIP Mr. Wells.

The total impact that Mr. Wells has had on my life is immeasurable. I was truly blessed to have been a young Scout under his leadership, with the further reward of knowing him as an adult. He was a true servant leader. I know I am not alone is these feelings. God speed Mr. Wells!

I have great memories of Keith telling stories of the action he saw during WWII while we were on Scout trips in the Bahamas and Hawaii.
