Dear Kelly, Beth, and Amy,
I was so sorry to learn of your sweet father's death. I was searching the internet for funeral resources when I came upon his obituary.
My Dad had a debilitating stroke in April and has been in a nursing home since then. My Mother passed away in 2010 after many years of suffering from Alzheimers.
I still think of you, even after all these years, and hope you are doing well.
Love,
Jann-Paul

I would like to express our sympathy to the family in the passing of Rev. Thornton from the family of Virginia Sowell in Brookneal, VA. Rev. Thornton was pastor in Brookneal when I joined the church and he and his wife Doris ministered to my father and mother when they were in Brookneal in many ways.

I was saddened to hear of Ken's passing. He was always a friend and colleague in ministry to me, and was well loved by all of the Pastoral Care staff, and indeed, by everyone at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

We share in your loss and celebrate Ken's precious life. He was a friend and full of grace to all the lives he touched. Ken's greatest gift was the joy he brought relentlessly with a spirit of hope and confidence through Christ. We will miss you Ken and will always be inspired by your compassion for those needing healing and hope through our Lord. Blessings to the family, The Staff of Tennova Hospice, formerly Mercy Hospice in Knoxville, Tennessee
