Lynne (Woodmansee) Wimberly, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015, in San Antonio, TX.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Highway 277 South. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Lynne was born in Springfield, MA to Harold and Martha (Marshall) Woodmansee on June 23, 1938. She went to school in Springfield, MA and Oberlin, OH. Lynne dedicated most of her life to the Department of the Air Force where she worked for over 53 years as a Civil Service employee. During her 53-year career, she was assigned at locations in the U.S., Japan, and the majority of her 53 years were spent at various locations in Germany.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Woodmansee.

Lynne is survived by her son Brian Wimberly and his wife Nicole Wimberly and her two granddaughters, Avery and Grayci. Lynne is also survived by her three sisters, Anne Woodmansee, Jane Woodmansee, Karen Swenson, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephew. She also leaves her good friend, Nelda Sessler.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Scott Ulmer, Dr. David Marks, Dr. Aldo Parodi, the entire PCU/ICU staff at Northcentral Baptist Hospitial, the men and women of the 485 ACOMG and her entire Ramstein AB, Germany family.

Lynne was an amazing sister, mother and Oma, who was gentle, kind, selfless, caring, funny, and loving. She will be missed each and every day.
