Abilene
Marcus "Mookie" T. Davis, 37, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Holiday Hills Baptist Church, 5309 Capitol. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 , at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa, Texas, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
Marcus was born April 8, 1974, in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School, class of 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Renee Soto; a son, Marquis T. Davis; three daughters, Monique D. Davis, Tiana K. Davis and Alajah N. Davis; his mother, Elizabeth Ann Samuel and husband, Kenneth; his father, Genor Davis; a brother, Genor D. Davis, Jr.; and a half-sister, Vickie Simmons.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billie Pruitt and an uncle, Bennie Conley.
A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Abilene Funeral Home, 3349 N. 12th Street.

This is your cuz Carlous Davis, I'm still in shock . We haven't seen each other in years man. You and Dewayne used to stay with us when we were kids. That's the last time I saw you cuz and I wish we had just a little more time to venture together. Well I'm going to end this the Lord has come to take his angel. My husband and I graduated from AHS with Marcus in 1992. I remember him playing basketball and always smiling. May God comfort and keep your family always.

cousin i miss u like crazy & its hurts so bad to know u r gone. i was going to bring my baby to meet u over the labor day wknd; but now i can't & he won't get to know how amazing u were. the day u died, i not only lost my cousin but i lost u as my friend & my big brother. there's no amount of time that will ever take this pain away. aunt ann & cousin dewayne, i'm so sorry. but please stay strong for tyrones babies, they really need u guys. rip marcus tyrone davis...i will always miss u & love u; i hope papa, great granny & uncle bennie met u at the gates. u r now one of our gaurdian angels & i know u r smiling down on us.

Theres nothing to really say you have a loss of a loved one.. no one wants to hear it will get better with time, or their in a better place..Just know that our family is very sorry for your loss and we send you our Deepest Sympathys...I have met him several times he is part of someone's family that is our family...Simiko is really gonna miss seeing that big smile when we would always see him...have a safe journey Marcus Davis... R.I.P. Marcus Davis...Marcus and I went to Lincoln and graduated together at Abilene High...He was a true friend who will be missed. My Condolences to all of his Family And Friends, May The Good Lord Be With Him, His Family And All Of His Friends During This Difficult Time.
